Giant orbweaver spider eating pic!

Biggest orbweaer spider[I think) and he caught a butterfly!! I didnt think they could catch such a large flying insect. Last pic is a poor size comparison, i didnt want to spook him

To me it looks almost exactly like Araneus diadematus but I could be wrong. Regardless, they're all so beautiful

Nephila have extremely strong webs. They've been seen feeding on birds and frogs that have become entangled.

I only see orb weavers like that at night here in my country. Once the sun goes up, they remove their webs clean and retreat to their hides.
