Man, I wish I could get the G pulchripes, but it's honestly too big in the size department. I already asked the parental units and they declined that species for the size. If I would get an albiceps, it would be an adult. But, I'll keep my options open for other species. Thank you!
What size limit have the parental limits given you? You need models 2.0, trust me!

Parentals say around 5-6 inches, the size that both my ts are projected to be. 7 and more is a no for them
g pulchripes would be fine then. Most adults sold are around 4 inches. And the time it takes to grow, your parents could not see the difference. It really is not a big tarantula.

its possible my 4 inch is way bigger… i just never take her out to measure. She is a real gentle giant.

my slings are around 2 inches. I tried to measure. They really don’t do anything during maintenance. And don’t kick hairs like any of my brachypelmas.

the only threat pose i ever got was during feeding, and it was in a premolt phase. The tarantula was not hungry.

albiceps are awesome but hard to find. If you like that coloration and want mellow Aphonopelma anax, cheaper, you can find adults (sometimes breeding pairs) and sweet.
Grammastola are a mixed back, most are mellow, about 10% are psycho and pulchra and pulchripes may exceed size limits

I found 2 places to purchase an Albiceps so I most likely get it, but we’ll see.

That explains my G. grossa sling now 2 inches. Boldest sling I ever had even rivaling my A. geniculata when it was that size.

If albiceps is what you really want your better off either getting a sling n growing little one up or waiting till you find an af. No point in getting a t just for the sake of getting one if it's not what you really want.

That being said ...... pamphobeteus mascara 😆

This is Elinor she is 7.5 inches of pure idc, she never runs, never hides unless in premoult, doesn't care if I open her viv or do stuff in there , and the caramel running down her legs irl has the same glow like deep honey 🥰. She is probably my most laid bk af that is visible 24/7 I do have other af's just as calm but not visible like she is.
Other sp;
Uropelma peruvianum
Aphonopelma vorhiesi
Euathlus truculentus
Sericopelma sp Darien
Tliltocatl sp tortuguero

Non are particularly common but all behave like Elinor just spend half their time buried 😆.

Whatever you decide gl on your mission n I hope you find the perfect little friend 😊🤞.

Alright, I'd recommend a T albo. They are cheap, hilarious looking, heavy bodied, and turn maniacal if you toss a cricket in their cage. I feel like I'm lifting a pampho when I rehouse her.

I never wanted one. I got a female sent to me as a fluke freebie. At the moment i wasn't happy. Now shes my lazy chill friend on the shelf.
