I have a 2 year old gbb that I thought was in pre molt but has had this bald spot for 3+ months and it’s just been growing I can see the pattern through the molt but don’t know if it’s stuck or if it’s something else almost 80% of it’s abdomen is bald I also seen that if the gbb is a male it won’t molt anymore after 2 years because it’s about to die and is just looking for a mate any help or information would be greatly appreciated

I got the gbb as a sling but after digging to see when I bought them I found that they’re 3 years it’ll be 4 in October if it’s a mature male will it just not molt anymore? Should I expect it to pass away soon?

It’s pretty rare to molt again usually they get stuck . 1-3 years after the mature molt they usually live.
