Is it unusual for a GBB 3”dls to still be red on both cephalothorax and abdomen and legs to be mostly brown with faint red hairs. He ( I’m almost positive) looked like the typical GBB sling when I got him but I can’t find any pictures of one at this phase and color patterns! 11596E70-507E-471F-AF25-79631D1A3706.jpeg F8A24046-7DF9-41D6-9B2A-70E8130E3DCF.jpeg Just curious! He’s several weeks post molt and really put some length on this time. The knees have a pronounced stripe that has just shown up recently.

I don't see anything unusual. Can see the carapace and leg colours coming through already and the abdomen chevrons is the last to change.
Your spider is doing well. 😊

Of the three I bought last July when I started the hobby, the GBB has grown the most. The other 2 were a t albo, and a d. pentaloris are beefier for lack of a better word at 4:00am, but the GBB was the smallest by far and has almost caught up with the other 2. He’s probably grown 2.5 dls in the last 11 months and has proven to be darn near indestructible following a freak accident where its enclosure flipped off of a tabletop and landed upside down. It still doesn’t have that immediate kill response of other two but it eats well. It usually takes
5-10 minutes after I drop a cricket to sneak up slowly on it. The other two barely let it hit the substrate before they are on it.

Love the color changes they go through. Here’s mine at 3”. Getting his blues. That’s him in my avatar, too.

the color morph is a good chunk of the fun. Looks like it is doing just fine
