My Grammostola Rosea, Quentin Tarantula (named after the movie director Quentin Tarantino), put up webbings with dirt at the entrance of his cave. Now it's covered with lots of coco peat sticking on the web and he just stays outside. Hahaha. Is this his way of telling me that he doesn't need one? Or maybe he's hiding a dead body inside it. Hahahaha. I love my Rosea...

Haha.. He has a body in there... {D

No seriously... My C. darlingi has done this to her hide as well..
The front.. Its covered in peat & webbing.. Except a tiny little hole..

But in the back... She burrowed down & made a back door.. LoL..

I find it really cool when they redecorate to thier liking... It just shows more of their individual personality.. :D (Atleast IMO it does.. :p)

I completely agree. For now I only have 3 species of tarantula but they are quite different from each other when it comes to behavior. Awesome creatures!

My large female albopilosum Curly did that to her coconut - doesn't like it at all, prefers to live behind it.
Teddy lives under his hide which is a small pot.
Akita buried her pot and lives on a plant.
Speedy turned his pot upside down and webbed it over totally.
Angelina lives on top of her pot.

And people say spiders don't have any personality !! Each of my 25 are so different !!
