Why if the G. Pulchra come from Brazil are they supposedly so adverse to moist substrate? Uruguay and northern Brazil where they come from would have it regularly. So is it just that keepers don't provide enough ventilation along with moisture?

My pulchra enclosures have ample ventilation, but any time I moisten the substrate, they actively avoid standing on that area. Maybe they just don't like how it feels. (Nonetheless, if the air is really dry, I sometimes moisten a small part of the substrate.)

You mean southern Brazil :). There's always the difference between macro and micro climate. It is very possible that the G. pulchra seeks out drier spots in it's natural habitat. And those semi-arid grasslands in Uruguay usually have sandy soil that dries out quickly after rain. It has been shown over and over that G. pulchra avoids moist substrate areas in captivity, so you don't need to test it again ;).

I didn't realize it was southern Brazil for some reason it kept mentioning northern when I was I looking them up at multiple sources but then again I was exhausted around then XD so I don't even trust my brain to read things properly.

Trust members here, they're the most knowledgeable keepers you can find, years of experience actually keeping these species. As @Ungoliant has said they don't like moist/wet substrate, they avoid it at all costs, keep a water dish, full, with dry substrate, tamped down, and you can't go wrong.
