Can you name a spider that is a beginner spider?
I am new to T owning also, but from my experiences:
B. smithi's are pretty easy to care for. That was my first choice, because they are awesome to look at and usually mild mannered. You can totally hold them, with no prob's. I have read Rosie's are pretty much the same way.

Awesome Pics of the Cobalt Blue, too. I love these guys. Colors are truley amazing!

Quick question: Pandinus, I noticed that some of your pics were taken in the grass. Do you take it out into a grassy area (yard)? Does it like it? I was thinking of doing this too, but I didn't want to freak mine out. Mine's very docile and loves it's enclosure.
Just curious.

I can name like a whole bunch even.

But this is easier.

Go to the Tarantula Discussions forum, and look for a sticky close to the top of the page called "Beginners! Read before posting!"

In there you will find links to many threads dedicated to addressing that very question.

And more...

Enjoy!

There will be a brief test before access to The Watering Hole is permitted.

none that i noticed, i just took it to the relative center of the yard (in case of an escape, it has nowhere to hide) and opened the container. It seemed to cautiously step out and start exploring. It was a rather windy day, but i saw no adverse effects on the T.

Sheri thanks for giving him that advice.I can only give so much since most of the T's I like will eat him alive

funny. I think I'm gonna get a leash for mine and walk him around the block. He should be okay with that, right? lol. Seriously, though; I'm going to let mine explore a bit too. Just have to lock up the cats. heh.

And thank you, N.W.A. Glad you found the pic. :) And BTW, "She" turned out to be a he (I think).

G'Day.
