Hello! I just ordered a Fluker’s Repta-dish from Amazon and it is slightly sticky to the touch even after scrubbing in hot water. Has anyone else had this problem? Is there a way to clean it off? Is it safe for tarantulas?

Thanks for any help!

You could try using olive oil or baby powder then try washing it off, if that doesn't work I wouldn't use it.

You can use Goo-Gone BUT make sure to wash the dish several times in hot water and soap after.

Petroleum like Vaseline will also remove any label stickiness but again wash it well afterward.

try cleaning it like others have posted above. If that does not work, I wouldn't use it. Honestly I find it a lot easier to just use 2.5 oz souffle cups.
Gotcha, I’m just being picky about keeping everything natural-looking in this viv lol If it doesn’t work out oh well haha

Thanks for your help!

I think I’m a little too wary of Goo-gone to use it haha Typically I won’t use anything I wouldn’t use on things that I would eat off of after. I’ll give vaseline a go, though, thanks!
