These are my first 2 T's a 1/2 inch Brachypelma hamorii, i got (hopefully) her because i became interested in keeping a T for their ease of care and lack of needs as a pet plus they look awesome and all the feeding clips i watched made up my mind that a T is the perfect pet for me. The day i received my sling it rolled out of the tiny jar into its enclosure in death curl, but i could see tiny movements in her legs so i spritzed the enclosure and let her be for about 3 days she didn't move a centimeter i was afraid she was going to die. But now shes crawling around her enclosure and has developed a biiiig bruise on her but so i am assuming shes going into premolt now and am so excited to watch her grow a little more. The the day after i received my sling i went to buy hydei flies to feed my sling in hopes that maybe food would help (ive had my slings for 3 weeks the B. hamorii hasnt ate for me lol wasted flies) and saw a Tliltocatl albopilosus (my best measurement was about 1.5 inches not 100% sure tho) in a little cup just sitting on top of the substrate like nothing can mess with her and i couldn't help but take her home with me she spoiled me for 2 weeks every 3 days i would drop in 2 crickets (i would wait for her to finish one before dropping the other) and I'd watch how she ferociously grabbed each one. Then one day she began to dig, and then she started to close off her burrow (right after i bought 30 more crickets) so im assuming shes now in premolt as well but at least she mad a nice little window into her burrow for me to look into whenever i please. My first 3 weeks of keeping T's has had its ups and downs but overall im loving keeping and admiring my T's and other little spiders. The other day i helped a spider i found in my workplace into a bush where as before id be to scared of it and would've tried to kill it instead of helping it. I just wanted to share my experience with someone and hope you all have amazing days, evenings and mornings.
