btw, trying to stay on topic, I have fireflies on my property here in tx but there are no bodies of water close by. Are there very terrestrial larvae sps that don't need to be around water so much as others?

They are terrestrial but I've only seen larvae on water banks so I was wondering if they can handle drier conditions than that. My neighbor has an irrigation system, could be they are coming from over there.

I found mine in moist-ish rotting wood, they are 2 crickets last night. I have a colony of about 10
