The OBT and the H. lividum are circling each other in threat display striking at each other like a cobra at a mongoose. This lasts a few minutes until the OBT lashed out and the cobalt counters and gets closes enough to tap the OBT's left pedipalp with a right fang. It just nicks the exoskeleton quickly as it was in and out so fast...could it be a dry bite?

The OBT has never been tagged before and when the message reaches her primative brain instictively she backs up to create some space to assess her next move...and the cobalt blue slowly closes the gap with fangs blazing...

Quite clearly a case of biased commentating! His favouritism is breathtaking.

The network should sack him and let an orange lover have a go (just for balance mind you) .

So not only do we have yet another shining example of the most tired, overdone, and downright juvenile thread subtype - OMG WHICH ANIMAL COULD BEAT UP WHICH OTHER ANIMAL MURDERDOME ARENA GO - but we get some bonus teehee sexism into the bargain.

This thread was a good idea.

One could argue this post was a waste fo time, but then one could also argue that overtly criticizing someone for a creative idea (good bad or otherwise) is just as much a waste of your precious time.
Also I think you are misconstruing this as sexism personally, maybe he is guilty of using gross generalizations or stereo types but I didnt see him claiming superiority strictly do to gender...?

I personally think the OBT would dominate!

An Avicularia Versicolor would crawl in as the dust settles at dawn.
With a simply Chuck Norris style round kick, it would take out both the OBT and the cobalt in less than a nano second.
It would then take heir molts as trophies, and silently walk back out of town, as discreetly as he came.
Grandparents would tell their grand-slings this tale for centuries.

Don't think so....The arena is an empty 30 gal. with newspaper on the floor. Dry environment is bread and butter to an OBT, and seeing as avic. and lividum have missed their misting regimen, the tangerine terror takes 'em down easy! LOL.

Round three OBT vs. Cobalt Blue:
As H. lividum closes the gap with fangs leading the OBT already in an exaggerated threat display strikes, the H. lividum backs up out of reach and then locks up with the OBT as a sumo wrestling match that resembles two bulldozers ensues. The two evetually seperate and with a move that it must have copied from the movie "The Matrix" the H. lividum jumps over the OBT, turns in mid air and ends up behind the OBT with a hold on its cephalothorax. The H. lividum raises its entire body up standing on it biramous claws as it raises its fangs and in a downward motion thrusts its fangs toward the back of the OBT...
