Just about 2" I got a nice deal so I had to do it :)
Keep me posted when you can finally sex your moderatum.

I'm also curious where the pet shop received it from. If you wind up with a male I've got the female and I would be highly interested in yours. However if it's male it could mature before my female is mature given it's already 2 inches.

I just want to avoid your moderatum coming from the same place mine did. In other words want to avoid that they could be sac mates.

Anyways gorgeous T they really are stunning in person than in photos

I was trying to get a ventral pic. Almost positive this is WC. Yours is CB? Who breeds Aphonopelmas and turns a profit?

Many breeders make money on Aphonopelma especially the uncommon and hard to find ones like the moderatum.

Well that's the magical question that I could never get an answer on. The breeder/seller is well known and seems to be the only one with many moderatum available. Knowing what I know as to how difficult it is to get a fertile sac from these in captivity it leads me to suspect that mine is WC with no evidence to back it up. This breeder could have had success with a fertile sac or a WC female was gravid. Either way I do not know.
