The twins wouldn't let me get away with NOT spoiling their "babies". They are Very protective and defencive of their lil leggy beasties.
To the point a 9 year old on the bus said spiders are ugly nasty and slimey and got popped for it.....
Yes,, call from school,,,, about my daughters beating up this bigger heavier child.
Told the twins not to do that anymore and just ignore them or tell them otherwise.
Faith, who didn't partake of the actual 9 year old whomping agreed. Eden who Did the whomping,, (And informed this girl that her hamster was fancy spider food....)crossed her arms, puffed and reluctantly Kind of agreed...
All in five year old style....
So um, yep. I Have to spoil da bug bugs....
I don't wanna get beat up by myfive year olds!

Midwest -

I was curious as to why you put the Smithi in with the Red Island Birdeater....

In response:

The red knee was past it's time. It refused to bred with my female B. smithi that actually pursued it. It was old and it had a neurological problem, it's legs kept twiching upwards. It's time was up.

We are completely against hybridization.

How cute! Fancy spider food LOL! Nixy, I absolutely love it when you tell stories about the twins. They sound like real protective T mamas.

=D Still laughing about "fancy spider food" =D

Well you guys... I did it. My b. vagans, Rhett and Scarlett are officialy cohabitating now. Poor Rhett is so old, he can't move too well, and when he attempts to mate, he can't even find her abdomen to insert!

After reading this thread, I made the decision to put them together so he can mate with her all he wants. Since he is going to die soon anyway, I want him to have a happy life. And if she eats him, he won't have to hang on and get slower and not be able to eat and die a slow death.

I feel really good about the decision!
