So I have a Scolopendra subspinipes--about 4". He has been burrowed in the substrate pretty much since I got him a week ago. My question is about feeding. Do I just throw a cricket in every week or so and see if it disappears in a day or so (since the pede is under the substrate all the time)?

I know the pede is fine, because I can see him moved from spot to spot in the substrate on different days through the glass...

Depending on your size enclosure, drop a couple crickets in there and keep the substrate moist. You will start seeing crickets missing or pieces of cricket.
