Hello, while i was out collecting some cat tails for a friend of mines water garden i came accross a large green lynx spider and her egg sac on one i already pulled up so i brought her home and attempted to feed her since she was pretty skinny and after 2 hours she sucked a cricket dry and seems alot more responsive. I have a few questions, will removing her eggsac get her feeding again and prolong her life span or should i leave the sac with her, also hiw difficult are the babies to feed? Ive had pretty good luck with latrodectus species but id imagine these are a bit more work finding food small enough for them?

I would not separate her from the sac; mothers normally guard their egg sacs.

If they are like other spiders, pre-killed pieces of prey may work.

Do you think the flightless fruit flies are too big? A lot of pet stores sell them not sure of where you are but if you could find them they might work for what you need :)
