A tried that Starburst with the pippet and slightly warm water and some Q tips a noticed it the week before what stuff crusting round the spinners but had never heard of compaction so never realized the wolf spider was introuble it was still eating and drinking wasn't till a found it in the forum I realized and in retro spect a think if I had caught it when I noticed it I could have nurses it back but like a said wasn't till week later a realized what had happened now if it happened again I'd know sooner and am confident I'd have a better chance of saving my spiders but I've heard that once it gets so far the spiders mostly die but a think that has no knowledge about it has a big part to play in the death rate if you do nothing your spider will die you need to gently soften the blockage and help the spider as soon as you notice it doing nothing results in death.

Don't feed according to a schedule. Feed according to size.

as there's such a thing called Anal inpaction that can kills all spiders as they don't eat like us
Impaction is rare and not well understood what it is caused by. Low hydration (as not providing enough water/ a water dish) may be a contributing factor.

As it is so rare, I wouldn't worry about it when feeding your tarantulas. If it occurs, there is not much you can do about it. But worrying about before it happens will not do you, or your tarantula, any good either.
