Wow got a colony of dubias to start breeding and feeding my Ts and Bearded Dragon. I wasn’t aware of how smart these little buggers are. Very good at digging, playing dead and not getting eaten. I’ve seen a lot of people tong feed but I’d really rather not. Any tips as to getting them to be eaten? I really don’t want roaches just digging around and being loose in my enclosures for many reasons. Thanks!

lol see I thought of getting B.lats but I’ve been told/read they can infest your house so I went with the dubias. Kinda feeling like I wish I went that way but nutritionally dubias are better for my bearded dragon.

The males are best they run around more, although I fed a few females off. It’s the annoying fly issue I'm dealing with makes me sick of dubia .

I haven’t had that yet issue but have had it with crickets. I am going to keep fly traps and fruit fly traps in the room where my colony is at though.
Yeah I don’t understand how they survive . I’m trying to kill them
With diy traps, no idea we’re they came from

As someone else said, if you crush the heads they kinda twitch around like zombies and dont just play dead or burrow. I think they're good for bigger spiders easier to just feed one prey item instead of multiples but I primarily use red runners cuz they're just easier to feed. I have mixed it up with mealworm and super worms before too. Not sure if superworms can bite the T but I always crushed their heads too. I have never used crickets, ever. I don't want them jumping outta a container on me and they smell terrible.
