I love the grace and power my OBT has. She grabs it so fast then disappears like the pretty orange comet she is.
My others are fun as well, but she is such a rewarding creature. Well, they all are rewarding, but my OBT just charms me ~

P. cancerides all the way. They will jump on everything that moves(however many prey there are) and stay in the open to eat.

I used to have one of those guys! She was very food oriented!

I love the reaction time of them! Tarantulas are fascinating predators

Currently my favorite is my juvie B. smithi because it's a little pig that never turns down a meal. I was feeding it every other day at one point to cut down on my number of crickets and every time it showed the exact same enthusiasm.

It's a tossup between my P. cancerides or my Pamphobeteus antinous young adult female. Both of these species attack prey with a viciousness that is just a blast to watch. Runner up would be my GBB young adults.

Haha, two genus' that find it very difficult to say no to food. Both favorites of mine:wink:

My P. cambridgeii rarely fails to impress with sheer speed, ferocity, and accuracy.

Yikes, well favorite T to feed tonight is definitely NOT a rosie. It's been two weeks since her last refused meal -- a roach I retrieved and put back in the bin only to find it dead the next day. No biggie.
But tonight she brutally maimed two crickets, ate neither, and is sitting in her hide (unusual for her) with her back to both corpses.
Now I think she must have killed the roach 2 weeks ago too, but it had looked fine when retrieved so i didn't realize the depth of her hatred for food when she is fasting.
lol

Not a tarantula but my largest Sicarius sp. sling... Comes outta nowhere! First it's sand then it's a spider on a roach! My favorite ACTUAL tarantula feeding would be gooty sapphire... Love them...

Lol, I guess I'm an oddball, I love feeding my Aphonopelma sp. new river rust rump. It is so delicate and dainty. It politely takes the crickets in a gentle hug of death off the tongs.

My b. smithi. Doesn't matter where the roach lands, goes charging after it. Also doesn't care if the roach is bigger, grabs on and eats it anyways xD

Of my collection? Hands down my A. geniculata girl! Although, my big Avic (6"+) is also quite nice to see her thrash that dubia / worm. "CRUNCH!"

That said, I really like tong feeding slings occasionally - always with the risk of them jetting out of the enclosure, but I rarely have those problems with mine somehow :).

I have a few that are quite entertaining to watch at feeding time. My 8+ inch MF LP, for example. I'll throw in three crickets for her, and she'll chase them all down & stuff them all in her mouth at once. It's amazing watching something that big move so fast.

I saw my B. emilia quite literally fly over her water dish once to get at a cricket.

My 4+ inch G. pulchra never refuses food, she's on those things like ugly on an ape. :)
