So the 15th December moulted to around 1 inch, 26th of February just under 2 inch then 26th march moulted again around 2.5 inch now. Am I missing something lol when did these become fast growers lol

I have 2, the other one moulted in may last year to around 2 inches and again on 26th February to around 2.5 inch, both are kept right next to each other so same temperature and stuff, one is just showing an amazing growth rate for what it is.

could be, but it doesn't have to be about sex.

i have heard of a female B. hamorii (back then B. smithi) that reached maturity in about 3-4 years from a tiny sling. happened to some friends of mine.
They can take up to 15 years.

Others they raised in the same conditions were still juvenile/subadult females after 8+ years.

The growthrates can differ enormously, but the really fast growers are usually rare outliers.

Probably part of a survival strategy through diversity of Phenotypes, or in this case fast and slow growers.

If fed well and kept at good temps, they do grow pretty fast up to about that 2, 2.5" mark....after that growth does slow significantly as molt periods get extended exponentially.

Lost both my recent ones after bad molts in 2020. But they grew fast. My one that made it to a mm in 2008 grew very fast. Maturing in a few years from 2”. To 6.5” .

Mine did similarly last year during hot months. Its been halted since.

i have three slings that went from 1/3inch to almost 2. Even if they dont look big at all.

its warming up slowly, and i dont use external heat source yet.

in your case, i dont think they will keep molting at this rate, if they are like mine.

i have a 4inch mature female. She just came out of “hibernation”. I hope the warmer it gets, the more she will come out of her hide. So far, she moved from legs being out, to a part of carapace.
