Hey, so I've recently acquired a 30 x 30 x 45 cm exoterra, it has a crack in the back glass, but I've epoxy'd it both sides to ensure safety and security, and I'm going to get a background to put on the back anyway. But before I invest more money into this, what sp. do people recommend to go in this, I wouldn't call myself advanced by any means, but I'm not stupid and have got over the initial "hover mum" stage.
Also, I'm not 100% confident in getting an OW yet.

Grammastola and brachypelma are usually the two most recommended. Basically any new world terrestrial.
My only concern is the height, its pretty tall, I'd like an arboreal, but if I can't find a suitable one, I'll probably pack it up with tonnes of bedding and put my LP in there

Check out Caribena versicolor. They're arboreal, super colorful as slings and adults, and mine have been really mellow and easy going. Gotta make sure there's good ventilation, but that could be said for most any arboreal type. Also, Avicularia species could be considered (A. avicularia or common pinktoe), as well. If you're not looking for something feisty avoid Psalmopoeus and Tapinauchenius - they're new world arboreal with more attitude.

I second @Pmurinushmacla, any new world terrestrial
i really like nhandus, different than brachypelmas, grammostolas and tlitocatls
they tend to be a bit spicier too which I enjoy

Thank you, definitely going to look into them sp. I have had both Psalmopoeus and tapinauchenius, but recently sold them as they were wayyy too fast for me 🤦‍♀️

Yh. Its pretty tall, I think people keep baby cresties in this size tank, so I don't want anyone falling 😬 especially as there mesh on the top, which I know T's like to climb on.

Yeah I have one of those sizes aswell, theyre a perfect size for pokie vivs imo. Your best bet for an arboreal would be an avic, but beware, they are not known to be slow. All arboreals are pretty speedy if need be, avics are just some of the slower ones.

I'm looking for an avic or a versicolor, unfortunately avics aren't too easy to find in the UK atm
