Hi, I Have an exo terra nano for my avic, avic. Its very nice & in the process of setting it up ready for after her next shed. I have read that T's can fang the gause top causing the spider to get hurt or escape. Is that the case with nano's? Also I was thinking of removing the gause & put acrylic with 3 50mm holes fitted with plastic vents in its place. Also I think this will help keep a better humidity. Any opinions?

I've had my A.A. in a tall Nano for several months now and have not had a problem. He walks around the top screen quite often. It does dry out quick though, but I think that is a plus, especially with an Avic. I give the lower part of the enclosure a good spray 2-3 times a week.

i wouldnt worry about it too much...i have 27 exo terra 12x12x18, 1- 12x12x12 and 1 nano....in the 12x12x18 i have P. regalis, P. metallica, S. calceatum, A. metallica, A. braunshauseni, and have more tarantulas that will go into the others when they are large enough, but i have never had any problems at all, except a few of them have chewed the foam background a little down at 1 bottom corner, then they use the foam balls in their webbing...but other than that never any problems..

Hi I'm from Bristol! Thanks for your advice, As far as I can see the size of the nano will be good space for life of my T. She mainly stays in her web. I do also worry about bark moulding etc, so dries out faster is prob best. I am also considering using a fake resin bark log rather than real cos of hygene reasons & they have nice designs with a hole in the side too.

I have my 5" versicolor in a nano and it works out perfect. I have put acrylic on the top for the same reasons mentioned. The only down fall is that she tends to web in the front corner on both the top and the bottom. Other then that it OS a great enclosure. Mine stays a bit wet due to the acylic.
