just asking questions...didn't know I needed a trip to the library to do that... i will just keep my mouth shut and do whatever I want without bad attitudes....didn't have an opinion about hybrids til now. I decided to support hybrids since I am just gonna get slammed.
You're not asking questions. Just stating an uninformed opinion.

you need to learn to read then ..I stated very clearly I was trying to learn something and NOT arguing......this is why I keep spiders...they are much nicer than humans.....

I'm not slamming or giving a bad attitude. It's elementary education where you learn that info, I just offered a free refresher course.

a) their ranges do not overlap or b) would not breed together in the wild due to behavioral or breeding behavior differences.
Yes and no - some species do overlap and there should be no doubt that some species are the result of cross-breeding in the wild at some juncture in the timeline; the big key is that some species emit pheromones in order to identify each-other for breeding purposes but we must not dismiss that some species have crossed before. I'm not arguing with your statement but rather clarifying that there is no doubt that it has happened.

I think the example that you are looking for is crossing a horse with a donkey to get a mule. I have no opinion one way or another when it comes to cross breeding. It will be interesting to see who changes their mind when something really colorful or large or tiny is produced from this practice.

Noted. I'll post a note that I hate equine and would rather grind them up for dog food than waste energy on them so my mind will not change no matter what genus is being crossed from whatever family, subfamily, or tribe. But all that is neither here nor there with the point you made, it's a personal stance and I will maintain it in the hobby, science, and ethic.

If anyone that doesn't know takes the color/size thing and compares it to the breeding of ball pythons, I'll make it a point that it's not hybridization but selective breeding within a species to achieve a desired effect - much like the fact that I'm a Puerto Rican, Navajo, and Italian and possess traits that show but am still H. s. sapiens.

heres a pic of one i bought as an emilia female(clearly a hybrid)
i don't promote the hybridization of t's,but will not get rid of this one she's actually one of my faves, not sure what it is crossed with, but not planning on breeding her anyway.so what does it matter?

also very large for a brachy

When I see threads involving the dreaded "H-Word," I usually hit the back button so hard, that I'll be taken to my log-in session. I once got interested in the subject, ran a search, and wished I hadn't.

The ethical considerations (not like many of the offspring are viable for breeding, anyway), and how heated people get over this controversial issue is enough to just leave it alone, and be happy in my ignorance.

But then I saw this little gem:
I decided to support hybrids since I am just gonna get slammed.
Your sense of logic is astounding!!!!! Almost (but not quite) signature worthy!!!! :p

I do. I can't stand it.
Define hybrids? Like a ball (Python regius) x burmese (Python molurus bivittatus)? Or an albino ball 100% hetrozygous for cinnamon?

I can see crossing a ball x burmese being something that can piss one off and being equallt as wrong as hybrid t's but not different morphs - for this I quote my previous post from page 2:

I actually am currently breeding different morphs of ball pythons. No, what I can't stand, is something like breeding a woma (Apsidites genus, from Australia) with a ball python (Python genus, from Africa).

Yeah, that crap is no different than breeding one t w/another t of a different sp or genus - it pisses me off too.

BlueFrogtat2's hybrid made me think chaco golden knee x emilia (because of the knees and the carapace) but one problem.... Grammostola x Brachypelma. :?

I guess you can say I'm neutral, but would be pissed if I'd gotten a hybrid mislabeled as a <insert T Latin name here>, but whatever. It would still be a welcomed member but sadly it's going to remain a virgin..:(

EDIT : Help us all if we ever get P.smithi x P.metallica or L.violaceopes x L.nigerrimum. 0.0
