Hi,

I got them from a friend today!

1.
A pair (I have got more of them)...the girl seems to be gravid!

Maybe 1 and 2 is the same species..
Any guess?

Imre,

What country were they collected from? So many of the euscorps look similar and many species exhibit such a broad-range of polymorphism that they're almost impossible to ID from photographs without some kind of supplementary data e.g. locality. Even with such data, it's still pretty much a tentative call.
The male in photo two (awesome specimen) looks very much like E. tergestinus or another member of the carpathicus complex.

Why do the words "species complex" make my skin crawl every time I see them?

Fist two are most likely E. gramma or E. italicus

2nd, I'm going to go with Barkscorpions with E. tergestinus

3rd looks like E. carpathicus croaticus or maybe E. tergestinus

Great looking scorpions. If that female pops, I want some. I'm seeing some nice scorpions from Croatia....I should make some friends from there.

I was right, when I tought most of the females are pregnant!

Unfortunately 2 scorplings drowned, before I recognized the female was popped some. :wall:

I have got around 40-50 (4 females popped) E. italicus and around 20 E. tegrestinus (2 females popped) scorplings.

Congrats on the new "kids". I always thought it a bit sad that euscorps are not more popular with hobbyists as they're an awesome group of scorps especially, flavicaudis, italicus and hadzii. Could you post a few pics of the E. tergestinus offspring?

Hi Luc,

Thanks. Euscorpius' are cool, maybe their disadvanatge is in the hobby: small, not potent venom....but this can be an advantage too.
I'll try, but my cam is not the best and those scorplings are so tiny (4-5mm).
