They are pretty defensive if they don't have a burrow to retreat to when disturbed.

My girl is not as bad as most, but they are usually very defensive!!

I am lucky...mine like the hide I made for her....and is out 80% of the time!!

My girl decided she didn't want a cricket I suppose....
