I do, I usually sex my spiderlings under a Leica microscope at work. However I have not been able to sex those yet. Still haven't checked after this molt, I'll see what I can do.
For those who may not know, this species lacks spermathecae.

@ Eric & Martin: This species is at the top of my wish list, so please contact me if any quantity of offspring ever become available. I was hoping to get some from Ray Gabriel, but as of the Exhibition, it was looking like the eggs weren't going to develop.

Cheers, Michael

Since I am in the mood of digging up picture, here are some more mating pictures... different females

Sorry, the backgrounds are not very inspiring, but this species needs a lot of room to mate I find.

Hi Dan,

the brackets around the "Strand" is not correct. Strand described this species in the Genus Encyocratella[/] and it wasnt transfered therewhile. ;)

So the correct labeling is: Encyocratella olivacea STRAND, 1907

Sorry, but I didn't know if I should post this here. Has anyone in Canada or the states bred this species succefully yet. Just curious as to the possibility of captive born slings of E. olivacea being available in the states any time in the near or distant future.

No.

There has been a previous breeding attempt in Canada, which was not successful.

I have an ultimate male that's heading up to the Great White North as we speak.

I don't know anyone in the States who has a female, let alone has bred them. I raised a single CB specimen (the male mentioned above).

There are a couple successful eggsacs (so far) oversees at the moment though.

One of the few things that would definitely make me expand my OW collection. :)

Amazing pictures, everyone!
