Here are the pictures of the completed enclosure.. All that is left to add are the water dishes.. (Yes I am going to offer 2 dishes.) The lid.. I think I have desided to go with the design that Rob has made.. Since I have to wait a few weeks to add Squid to the enclosure... It gives me time to make the lid..

Anyways the pictures! :D

To start here is the Hide.. (Outside & Inside)

Here is the Ground level.. (Left & Right Side)

AND! Here is Jairi's (Teal) idea.. The second level... (Left & Right)

So I have to wait a couple weeks to release Squid in his new home due to the second level has to cure.. So it gives me more than enough time to make the lid for the enclosure..

Let me know what yall think I should add to the left side of the ground level.. That sorta looks bare to me.. I dont know.. Whats some opinions on that area??

Well,my posts keep vanishing,so I will try again... You MAY,I say MAY need to restrict SOME pf your ventilation when using that lid. There are a ton of ways to do it IF you have issues keeping humidity up.I have used a lid like that before, and here in Az,it was kinda a PITA to keep humidity levels where I wanted them without them plummeting or spiking.Another thing you can try is a Pothos plant in there. It really made regulating humidity easy for me at least.I will try to get a friends camera and snap a pic, since mine sucks.....

Yeaa.. I actually thought about the humidity and desided to take the plexi-glass to Lowes and get it cut so it would be right... Sadly some people are just born STUPID.. The guy cut it wrong after I told him the measurements.. I even had it marked off.. I told the fella cut here and here... He said no problem.. He cut it.. He measured it.. Then he said there is 9.75'' for ya..

Soo I assumed hey he works here he should know how to read a tape measure right? WRONG! Its a 1/4'' to long.. er.. wide...

Do you plan on filling in the spaces on the background with something? There seem to be a fair amount of ways for prey to hide back there, but you might not be finished with that part; so I thought I would ask. :D

I just completed my lid.. I desided to do the plexiglass lid after all.. All I need to add to it right now are hinges, handle, & the locking thingys to keep it shut.. :D

Drilling the vent. holes was rather easy.. I was for sure I was going to crack the plexi.. All in all it mostly just melted away..

I am still sorta in debate on how to do the hinges.. Either glue them on there with hot glue? Or.. Bolt them on with bolts? I am sure the bolts would last alot longer.. Might go with the bolts.. Anyways I will take a picture as soon as I can find my memory card to my camera.. (Dang things just just out the camera and hide themselves soo much!) :D

i would say yeah screw it on the plexi if you can... use glue on enclosure so u wont break the glass...
i know my sd card stuff grows eight legs and goes for a walk at time....
more like my bro would borrow it and not tell me till i need it... lol

Soo here are the pictures of Squid enclosure.. With the lid just sitting there.. Obviously I still need to add hinges, handle, and locking thingys... Of course I also have to add Squid... But yall get the idea! :D

So here they are! :)

Nevermind the crack in the bottome right corner of the last picture.. Its all glued together safely where the critter cant get out.. :D

*Edit* I might try getting me some pothos plants tomorrow.. If I can find some..

The drill bit size is 1/4''.. They are the same size as the holes I put in the 1 gallon jug he is in now... Havent had a problem with it so far.. The same size is also in the other 1 gallon that my female A. avic is in..

I have seen her stick her leg through one hole.. Almost like she was feeling around.. She slid it right back in to her..

This is what I did for my home-built Robc tops... It surprisingly wasn't too bad to drill out. If anyone needs advice or the "list of gotcha's" I can help!

Pardon if the pics attach funny...

Oh, and ignore the white crud on the top pic in the cage... it's the way the camera reflected on some condensation... :) {D

Nice work. I'm glad to see more people attempting to be creative with their tarantula setups.
