I’ve been thinking about putting my male and female emperor scorpions together to see if they will mate, however, I’m pretty sure my female is already gravid. What would she do to the male emperor if she is gravid? I know their venom is relatively weak, but would it be enough to kill another emperor?

If left unattended she would most likely kill him to protect both herself and her unborn scorplings, they don't have to use their venom to kill eachother and some scorpions are immune to venom from their own species

Send a pic on this thread of her. Someone more experienced in gravid Emperor Scorpions might be able to tell you if she is already gravid. In this species, males typically have much larger pedipalps than the females. The male should be able to fend her off if she decides to attack. I would wait a little and post an image of her...

1. Use a flashlight to see if embryos are visible in the abdomen.

2. Yes she can, and likely will, kill him.

To me, it looks just like my female Emperor Scorpion who isn't gravid. She just looks plump to me. I would still recommend waiting for someone who is more experienced in these scorpions because I don't get into breeding. Good luck.

How would I do this exactly? I know their skin is kind of dark and hard to see through. She’s also super aggressive
