Figured I would post now that I've finally set up my emperor scorpion tank in a way that should remain viable for her for some time.

Used the false bottom design with a bit of tweaking. First few inches on the right are fine gravel, then used some clay hydro-balls under my substrate, last about six inches on the left is fully substrate to the bottom with the heating pad on the left side of the tank.

Lights are only there for viewing and occasionally the plants, which are live.

Nice setup, though the scorpion seems on the smaller side and likely will disappear in there. Make sure it gets enough food.

How large is the setup and the scorpion? He/she looks relatively small to me...
The setup is a 20long and yes, she's quite small for it! But she also feeds very well off tongs so I make sure she's getting dubia every few days.

Must be hard to find him come dinner time.
