Emperor Scorp Age?

So I got an adult emperor scorpion the other day and was curious about its age, it's about 6-7", any guesses?

It is pretty much impossible to tell, unless it was captive born, and the person you got it from told you the day it was born. Being that it is an adult, it is impossible to tell. It could live for 2 more weeks or it could live for a couple of years.

Looks like she is about 3-4 years old.... they can live for up to 8-9 years in captivity. Yeap, that very much looks like a female to me. I have one that has been alive for 6 years - and she just had another brood. So now I have about 60 emps - 7 adults and the rest are juvies.

Keep your new scorp moist and warm and she will live a long and happy life!

I was thinking what Jorpion said, a youngish adult. I was thinking that because it looks so clean and the soft tissue areas look clean and light colored. Could be older and kept well but I'm going with young adult.

well i ordered that one for a friend, its in a 10 gallon tank now at her house, I'm new to scorps, she wanted a large one and when I gave her the scorp yesterday she was curious about the age, I got a newborn scorpling so I know its age

I agreed!!! Most mature scorpions are relatively the same size and there's no sure fire way of telling their ages. Scorpions aren't like a tree where you can just count it's rings and determine its age.
