Effects of smoke on tarantulas

hahaha! Ohhh thoseeee types of people!

Well you know tomorrow is 4/20 day so if the OP doesn't want his roommate smoking around his T's anymore he best move them quick!

Considering the fact that tarantulas breathe as slow as they do, the odds of them breathing in any smoke is unlikely. The only thing I'd be worried about is the THC in the marijuana, which is a natural pesticide I believe. That being said I keep my T's in my living room and I've smoked both cigarettes and marijuana(I don't smoke anymore) in my living room while my T's were in there. Their enclosures were only a few feet away from me and I never had any problems.

I think we also forget that T's replace their lung lining with every molt. They'll be exposed to so many fewer toxins in captivitiy than they probably are in the wild. Don't over think it. I'm sure they will be fine.

My Reptile/T room doubles as my smoking room. I've been smoking this room out daily for years and have had no issues. Actually, my animals are my preferred entertainment when partaking in the sacred herb.

Forget giving the T's the chips and cookies the "roommate" will eat them and give the T's the crumbs.

put some chips and cookies in the cage with them - and maybe a phish record?
