Howdy doody lovely guys and gals. As the title says, I'm giving some thought to an early xmas prezzie for myself in the form of a second T. The main issue I'm having is, I'm not sure exactly what to get.

I currently have a P. Ornata and I love her to bits! I was thinking of sticking with another OW arboreal, but I'm willing to be convinced about changing from arboreal. That said, I don't know if I should go for another Poecilotheria (sp) or not. In some ways, it'll be nice to have a family of P. XYZ T's, but variety is also good.

I do enjoy the species with a bit of "fizz" in them, as I've found mine is always a joy to watch as she continues being the boss of her little domain lol.

Any suggestions would be great, seduce me with your wares lol.

Edit: I forgot to mention, I have a soft spot for the bigger T species :)

I’m going to go against the ‘grain’ (grain being arboreal), and will suggest a Pamphobeteus sp. They’re amazing eaters, fast growers and who doesn’t love a large colorful species? If you get one with the ‘Christmas’ tree pattern on its abdomen, it would fit very well with the whole festive theme

I'm not entirely clued up on some of the Latin names, they're the ones with the red/orange bottoms, grey legs correct? I must admit, they do look lovely!

Depends on the species, some are all black/grey, some are as you mentioned and others are different.

Might I recommend the following:

B. emilia
B. albopilosum
H. pulchripes
G. pulchripes
E. campestratus

Don't you dare entice me to post pictures to back up the above recommendations. H. pulchripes pictures may lead to a rare condition that causes you to see everything as blue and gold, it is like color blindness, but better. Only cure is to buy all the H. pulchripes you can find and stare at them until you fall asleep. :troll:
