E. campestratus sling not eating yet.

okay, my PZB isn't eating and is mostly staying burrowed.

my other two slings have eaten and continue to do so with gusto.

is it possible that it is preparing for molt? are there any signs besides not eating that are good for knowing when your T is in molt?

i'm asking this besides the obvious signs of lying on back or side, etc.

the very back of her abdomen is dark but all PZB slings i've seen look like this.

oh, also, do these tend to somewhat be pet rocks?

Well I wouldn't worry about it
T's go with out eating for weeks
but a sling raises questions
It might be going on to a molt
You can totally tell when a sling is about to molt
the abdomen is very dark
I saw this with My L. difficilis
who just molted.
well any ways
don't worry about it as longs as it's not in a death curl or anything
just keep the humidity up.
and maybe put the temp in the 80's
that stimulates their appetite.
well any ways I hope all goes well
and soon enough it'll grow and it will be your favorite T
like mine is to me

My PZB's close their burrow entry with dirt just befor a molt.

I also have a itsy bitsy little E.campe sling & it has molted a few times for me already. Each time, he/she quit eating for 2 weeks prior to molting. It is now barely 1/2" & doing fine.

On mine, when it was about to molt, it wasn't just the top of the abdomen that got real dark, but the sides & underneath were dark as well.

I know it's a bit scary when the little tyke is so small, for it not to eat for a couple of weeks. It did scare me the first time, but when it did the same thing the 2nd time, I relaxed about it a little bit. All went well & he/she started eating again 3 days after the molt.

okay, thanks guys, i feel somewhat better. i purchased this one thinking they were just lovely and hearing that they were some of THE most docile and sweet Ts you can own.

i am really just nervous for my little Ts as i'm sure you can all understand.
