Hey mike --

s/he's really a beautiful T -- nice as all get out -- i seriously cant ever provoke her/him into kicking hairs or rearing -- hopefully as s/he gets older, s/he'll get some balls, but i'll enjoy what i have now --

and as for online dealers, i really would reccommend swift or invertepet... seriously..

and you might as well buy 2 or 3 to fill up your order! You can get 2 Ts and shipping for about $45 -- depends on the T's, but i found 2 T's on there for a nice price and with shipping its only around 45 bucks!

plus its next day!

go get one, dude :) look at that T -- and s/he's no bigger than a couple fingers!

peace,
dave

I am definatly getting a PZB, you convinced me enough, i always wanted one, but this brought it to 100% positive YES. I'm getting one! Once i get it, you'll be first to see pictures, thanks for convincing me! This isn't a picture of a PZB, or a tarantula for that matter, but it's an awesome little spider i found today, I believe he's a jumping spider not sure of the species.. yet.

Haha

here's my specialty --

that's a Salticidae (jumping spider)... right away i'd say C.xanthogramma, but i'd probably be wrong. i'd stick with a more familiar species like Phidippus or Marpissa-- what part of jersey are you in?

OR, depending on where you got it, and if you can grab a picture of it's abdomen it could be an Evarcha/Evis/Philaeus --

But .. i dunno.. its could possibly a Marpissa.

either way, its definately in the Salticidae family --

They're cool cool spiders. Ihave a gravid female P.regina and P.audax now... Those things can take down a full size cricket or butterfly!

They're friggin cute as hell with those big eyes looking up at you!

becareful though,t hose things can nip -- no worries of venom, but i think they account for something like 75 or 80% of all spider bites in america.

i can hold mine, but sometimes she'll get angry and jump away.

peace,
drop me a line too! i im'd you bro.

man i'm such a geek -- :)

whats her abdomen like? if thats the species i think you have, its a female.. they get pretty big, too. If it is a Marpissa, it's the biggest of the Salticidae (though, my P.audax is reallly big, so who knows.. it's like the GP/T.Blondi thing)...

snap a pic of the abdomen if you can!

thanks man

dave

alright Pategirl... here's some more to make your heart swoon :)

peace,
dave (can i be patedave? I'm cool, seriously. i'll send a pic of me and stuff :) )

First, we have a really cool sun/shadows arty shot of PZB
I have to wait at least two weeks now....my bank account is getting low. And, I'm sorry, but I'll have to pass on the patedave thing. My fiance wouldn't like that too much. Why me, anyways?

The PZB is definately on my wishlist now. Don't know when I'll get one, but I will. :)

nice, well let me know when you get one, and POST some pics when you do :)

mike -- make sure you give em some water. They can deal with misting, but i put a little lid with some water and a paper towel -- its cool for spiders, but youdont need that with T's tho :)

take a pic of that thing eating a cricket -- i got some too.. crazy!

and pg - i was just joshing around ;)

peace,
dave

hehe, yeah, we're working on growing all our slings up, we're going to have quite the pretty selection of T's in the house in about.... oh 90 years... not really, maybe 2 years.... E. camp, C. fasciatum, B. albopilosum, B. smithi, A. versicolor, G. aureostriatum, and of course the ever faithful (for me anyways) G. rosea, but she's the only big one we have, and she's kinda small 3.5" maybe 4"
