Update on colony

Heres a little update on the dubia colony. I checked on them today to give them food and water and low and behold there was a female on top giving birth. Just a reminder I keep my t room around 75 to 80 degrees. I looked in between the egg flats and there are quite a few of babys to my suprise. The dubia must not have to above 80 to breed. I did on the other hand order a heat rope to up the heat anyways. Hopefully this will encourage quicker breeding.

How long exactly have you had them? I've had mine for about 2 months and I've seen no breeding. I'm getting worried.

I think I've had mine about that long. Do you have adults? How many is in your colony? What kind of setup do you have?

skips;1361757 I thought somebody told me these guys gave live birth said:
I see egg shells all over, not sure what you meant by live birth. Im not sure if theres multiple dubias from one egg sac.
Try to feed off males, keeping females 1/4 deff. has increase the breeding. Makes sense for one male to mate to multiple females, which also helps lessen the competition of food having less males.
Im so glad I have dubia colonies now, Ive been feeding smaller dubias to my baby pacman frogs, and my baby pixie frog (african bullfrog).
