Does anyone recognise this insect?

My friend in Port Charlotte (Florida) says his son was bitten by this critter, last evening. It looks like a stick insect nymph to me---but he says these are very aggro, and there are lots more of them! Any guesses, bug dorks?

I agree...immature reduviid. Are there kissing bugs in the area?
