I mist my Avics, at least once a day. I never see them drinking from the water dish, like my other T's, but when I mist them they will drink from the sides of the tank.

I've kept T's (any and all kinds) for about seven years...I have never once used a water bowl and I have never once lost a T...I keep them on the drier side and mist half the container/ cage/ cup about every three days...They seem to do great...When ever I did use water bowls I started to get little flies (or larvae) inside the water on a daily basis...I decided I'd rather take my chances without the water bowl...My rationale is...T's have beeen on the earth for millions of years...They've lived through droughts and many other environmental situations...Therefor they are not as fragile as some may think...Now obviously since I live in So. Cal. the temps usually don't get below 68 degrees farenheit summer or winter, but I dont pay attention to humidity percentages and average temps and all my T's are healthy...but that's just my experience...
