The thing is that misting does right next door to absolutely nothing as far as raising ambient humidity. Sure, it provides a spike in humidity, but as soon as the water droplets settle down or evaporate, you're right back where you started. The only way you're going to raise humidity *in the containers* is to add water *in the containers*... water sprayed into the airspace of the room will not somehow magically find its way into the cages, you have to put it there. Wetting a corner of the substrate will allow the water to evaporate off slowly, raising ambient humidity as it does...ChrisNCT said:Hmmm....well stated Mr. I!
Maybe what I should do is put the room mist on one time daily for 4 minutes or so. That would be the same a spraying the air once daily.
Then what I can do is mist the reptile areas on a seperate timer so they have their own moisture.
