Do I need a quiet room?

Hi. Just got "Twinkle" my first Tarantula, a 3" A. versicolor. We currently have her on a countertop in the kitchen. The kitchen is a pretty busy place, with people passing through, kids laughing and running and meals being made, etc.

Will Twinkle get used to all of this racket, or should I move her to a quiet bedroom, instead?

Personally, I would transfer it in a quiet room to make sure my specimen is the most calm possible.

I use the bedroom or computer room for keeping my tarantulas. Computer room would be the most quiet room in my house though.

The only major issue I could think of keeping it on the kitchen counter is vibrations from appliances (blenders, food processors et c.) Stressing it out. Ts for the most part are deaf so sound per se doesn't bother them. Its vibrations, that'll do it to them. (Yes I know sound is vibrations but unless it is loud enough that you can feel it really isn't going to bother your t.

I keep my ts in the living room, which really isn't the quietest room but since I'm out most of the day its okay and the TV doesn't bother them.

My concerns for a kitchen would also be temperature changes or extremes depending on where the enclosure is located in relation to the stove. Also, since kitchens are generally high traffic areas, the chance for the enclosure getting bumped or knocked over would most likely be increased.

I keep most of my T's in my bedroom, and living room. These are the quietest rooms. When one is in premolt, I put it in my nice dark closet until it molts.

Moving day.

It sounds like I need to move Twinkle to a quieter room. I will clear a part of a dresser top in the bedroom for her.

In the fall, she will be on my desktop at school. Not a lot of vibrations, but there will be noise.
