Do Emperor scorpions come in dark blue or is this something else?

Hi all,

I received an emperor scorpion in the mail a little while back and just noticed it's dark metallic blue under normal light with deep purple/maroon claws and stinger (The terrarium has a red infrared heat light only for the time being and it looks black under that). So, with that description, could it possibly be an emperor scorpion? I'm by no means upset either way. It's a 6 inch monster scorp that is really aggressive (also why I think maybe not emp) and fun to have. Sorry I can't post useful pics, but if someone could point me somewhere that has pics of all these forest scorps or if someone knows what it is by the description, that would help a bunch. .

Emps can have a very blue shine to them.

That's mine. The picture has not been tampered with.

Yep, under the right lighting they are indeed bluish in color.

Thanks guys. That pics about right. The claws are closer to the color between dark purple & maroon, but that sheen of blue is accurate for the body. By 'right lighting' I assume you mean normal white light? Mine is deep blue under normal white light.
