Difficult identifying bolus in substrate

I'm currently using a coconut fiber substrate ("Eco" something or other is the brand) and I'm having trouble discerning bolus from the substrate itself. My friend is only about 4-5 months old (l. parahybana) so the crickets s/he eats are also on the small side, making spotting undigested remains rather difficult. I don't need mold or some other side effect because I can't find the bolus to remove it. Any tips?

I strain my coco fiber before I use it. Get a strainer and sift the big stuff out. I do it and like the way it looks alot better. This makes it look like fine brown sand. Its easier to see the food leftovers

Hmmm I'm also having the same problem guys.

I have only fed it twice since I have gotten it 7 days back and was wondering if it is important to remove all the dead remains of the pinhead crickets I use to feed my 1 inch Brazilian White Knee.

My Ts usually toss it in the corner. Some of my arboreals flick them. In dry enclosures its not a big deal because it will dry out. If you cant find them dont worry too much.

So it's the consensus here that if you can't see it not to worry about it?
