Did you know that arachnids are crustaceans?

I was in Barnes and Noble the other day and saw one of those huge "Smithsonian Institution Animal" books, so I decided to sneak a peak and see what it said about arachnids. Low and behold crustaceans were listed as there phylum. Obviously a misprint, but still kind of funny considering the original print was in 2001 and this book was updated for 2005.

Wha-crustacean and arachnids belong to the Phylum Arthropoda. Crustaceans are a sub-phylum and the arachnid sub-phylum is chelicerata. Did the book actually have crustaceans as an entire phylum?

it was listed like this

phylum:Arthropod
sub-phylum: Crustacean
class: arachnid

They look like it, but i'm pretty sure that they're not. But I bet both crustaceans and arachnids are crunchy. :}

I picked up a rainforest animals book not long ago, and it had a beautiful full page picture of an Ephebopus cyanognathus juvie........labeled as Tapinauchenius sp. :wall: :wall: :wall:
