Question Did the advertising banners change?

I'm not exactly sure when it started but lately the boards have been very laggy. They had always suffered from the occasional flash extension crash (which is what flash does) but this was choppy interaction and the text lagging way behind what had been typed. A few days ago I noticed the advertising banners had started playing clips instead of just being the ribbon banners I remembered. I'm not sure what is going on but could someone check it out? Am I the only one seeing this kind of behavior? Thanks.

I haven't been on a lot lately but in the last hour or so that I've been posting/browsing I haven't noticed any hiccups. Don't think I've seen the new banners you speak of though so maybe I've just lucked out.

Have you tried using adblock?

I have tried not to on here to help them out. It's only the small movies playing in the banner that was giving me trouble. While they were loading/playing the forum was laggy. Once they finished playing everything is fine till I move to another page.

Run Traceroute and see where the slow down is.
