I am wondering what everyone's thought are about putting this in my m.balfouri communal it will be sitting on the bottom of enclosure and I will be adding substrate around it and yes I know I need more substrate but wanna get opinions on having the castle in the tank?

Don’t do communal unless you want them to eat each other

Also you need A LOT more sub

Yes I know I need more substrate as posted in my first post was just wondering what people's thoughts were on the decor the m.balfouri are a communal speices and have had no issue with them

There are no communal species

The enclosure looks good, and you definitely should throw in a bit more substrate in there. It’s true they could eat each other, but I wouldn’t say balfouris AREN’T communal at all, right?

aaaand I take it back. Apparently they’ve never actually been seen living communally in the wild, but still have evolved to live in a close proximity.
