Deathstalker scorpion

I know they are the most venomous but I know what I'm doing with scorpions. How do I tell if it is really a deathstalker? The place I found one at have it for 25 and it is really small. It looks like the pics I've seen, but at the same time most are yellow. As far as substrate I was going to go with sand but what about that new clay stuff?

Most would have a dark tail segment at the end.

That's all I can really say if you have seen pictures.

5 keels on the first couple mesasoma. The fifth segment is typically a darker color to almost black.

Here is a picture of one of my 2nd instar Deathstalkers'. (I have six).

Notice the very dark tail segment. Hard to mistake the real ones when you have seen one.

Thanks for the info and pics. Now I know to look for. Just pure sand is fine too right? Some rocks to hide under maybe too. Is play sand good from home depot?

play sand is what i use for my desert sp. 100 lbs for about 7 bucks. pretty good deal

Yeah home depot has some sand bags for 4 bucks. Is there any types of rocks not to use? I'm going to go looking for some at the park so I don't wanna get anything bad. What about live plants?
