I wouldn't consider those "dwarfs" (I mean, not like true so called "Dwarfs" T's) but they are on the little size for my standards. Grow rate is a bit slow. I'm not a master of inches but I say 8/9 cm legspan. Are these dwarfs? Growth rate?
D. pentaloris@sdsnybny So is what have I been keeping? Dont tell me this is gonna turn out Euathlus![]()
Mine grow pretty good definitely not slowAre these dwarfs? Growth rate?

I thought pentaloris was the 'doppelganger' of fasciatum but didnt grow as large, more of a dwarf? Or is that Davus pentalore??D. pentaloris

A female Pelinobius muticus, I hope :-sThanks for info, guess what I am picking up now next month
That will be 3-4 months down the roadA female Pelinobius muticus, I hope :-s
So it is going the same way as Euathlus .. The plot thickensThats what I was under the impression was the case till I found the paper
Whats going to muddle the road now is the 4 diff abdomen patterns of D. pentaloris. Are they diff locals" Have they already been mixed? Should we even attempt to keep them separate after years of not knowing the diff. They have been sold as all four for year, which names were inadvertently added to boost sales.
I think we should enjoy our hobby forms unless you know exactly where they were collected.
^^^^^ ThisThey are not, nor have been in the hobby. There was a recent paper done on them by Ray Gabriel. C. fasciatum, C, pentalore are all Davus pentaloris (paper shows 4 diff abdomen markings/locals) D. fasciatusis is described but hasn't been in the hobby pics drawings show it smaller and with a dark or black carapace.
