On a cool evening night I let my tarantulas feed from my mouth, bird style, roaches that have bathed in the ancient Mayan River of Gold while laying in bed.

Afterwards I tuck them under the blanket for a good night's sleep.

In the morning I make them breakfast, eggs and roach bacon.

Daves a good person, he is under alot of stress right now...unfortunately it shows in his more recent vids. I have even told him he needs time off, a rest, but he won't, he doesn't want to disappoint ppl. Pressure of a utube channel 🤷🏻‍♀️.
Hopefully once he has finished the work on his home n his actual work cools down a bit, (it's probably the busiest time of the year in his line of work,) he will be bk to the normal Dave we all love to watch.

It's called "poke and pray" for a reason lol. Had the tub of dirt not been there it could have ended differently, that was like a 5ft drop. Maybe it would have been okay, not sure. I can't fault him for reacting how he did, I would have done the same, not trying to claim I'm better. But yea, that's why I don't do transfers like that. Well before the exciting part of the video I was crapping my pants when he was using his fingers to pull stuff outta the old container like 2inches from the burrow. There's absolutely no reason to take that risk. Use tongs.

There's a difference between hazardous and dangerous. Keeping these animals, feeding, transfers etc. There are hazards involved like escapes or getting bit. You can do stuff the safest way to mitigate hazards and reduce the chances of something going wrong. Hazards can become a problem if safety is disregarded. Dangerous is doing something, where there's a pending risk, and you're disregarding safety. You could have logic behind why you're doing it that way but fate and mother nature and wild animals don't give a crap about your feelings or logic lol.

Throughout my life I've stopped and told myself and others I wish there was a time machine so I could back in time and not make the mistakes I've made, with everything.

As I got old/older I know that being human means making mistakes and no one is perfect.

So if it was possible to go back in time and avoid all the bad decisions/mistakes I made being human I would make new ones.

The new ones scare me more because I have no clue what consequences new mistakes outcomes would be, maybe death.

Even if time travel is ever possible in my lifetime I would never accept doing it.

“Watch your fingers, a bite can have yearlong consequences” - proceeds to claw out dirt and webbing with bare hands next to burrow mouth of a obviously pissy spider repeatedly… o0

Not trying to crap on the dude but that was a huge YIKES!

Beautiful spider though.
