Looking for people to share their experiences with cooling drops in scorpions. This is for either nightly temperature drops or seasonal winter cooling. I've heard of it improving some breeding of tarantulas and wondered if there was support for this in scorpions. Negative results are also helpful, so if you didn't notice a difference or don't provide it and have no problems breeding. Thanks in advance!

I think it depends a lot on the species. I look at the temperatures in the natural range and decide based on that if I seasonally cool them down or not, and how much. Their natural climate is what they're adapted to after all.

I used to cool down European Euscorpidae quite a lot in wintertime, and they would still eat. They are so used to this seasonal cooling it takes a lot to really slow down their metabolism. Likely the same with North American species, though I, as a European, am not as experienced with those.

All of my scorpions get a temperature drop at night, just to the temperature of the room.

I only provide temp drops for nighttime, but i haven't bothered with seasonal changes for years. If I kept Hadrurus or other similar species that benefit from brumation periods then I would be following annual temperature fluctuations for them. Right now I've been focusing my efforts on larger forest species, most of which are at least somewhat equatorial, so seasonal temperature fluctuations are fairly minimal throughout the year.
