D. diadema-should i mate them?

I have what i believe to be a male and a female D. diadema. The male is quite a bit larger than the female. Would it be a good idea to put them together to mate?

I would say wait until they're a similar size.

I have bred this species several times. Your female is too small, she needs at least one more molt at minimum to reproduce well. You can however introduce the two into the same cage. Watch the initial interactions, they will be a little violent but things should calm down quickly.

They live at least up to 5-6 years, maybe even more...
