Your description is exactly the way mines is behaving, s/he's only just over the inch mark so lots of fun times ahead, can't wait to see the colour change even from the next molt, s/he changed so much from the last molt, it probably doubled in size, and has started to get the tiger striped abdomen. These are semi-arboreals and will adapt to what the can in captivity. Some will slam up the dirt curtains behind the cork slab. Most will make a nice volcano looking hide with it and burrow slightly underneath. Most younger specimens are pretty much fossorial
There is no different colour forms of this species known. What you see is what you get. The sexual dimorphism doesnt show until subadult stagesHi guys, I recently bought a hati hati (purple earth tiger) - as it said on the tub in the shop.
When I’ve seen slings there is loads of brown slings and blue slings...are the males and females that apparent at such a young age? Or is it just a colour form? Here is a pic of mine
Thanks for the fast replies!!
Do you think this enclosure is suitable for him/her?
Yeah I know, I’m not new to T’s I’ve got a few.It might last a few more molts but I wouldn't keep it in that size forever.
Adult females are deep purple with cream/yellow carapace. Mature males are cream/grey/brown in appearance.
