i have an empty tank that i was planning on using for my first tarantula. she will be here next week. shes a juvenile curly hair, about 3 inches. the tank i have is 24 inches long and 14 inches wide. is this too big or is it okay as long as i monitor her feeding to make sure she eats? will the size of this enclosure stress her out? thanks guys :)

That´s too large in my opinion. I would rather get a cheap Kritter Keeper/Exo Terra Faunarium if I were you.

You need someting that is more than half that size or more. For a juvenile that size a more apropriate size would be 10×10.inches

I think it's too large. He might have difficulty finding prey in such a large enclosure. A critter keeper or a breeding box would probably be better. I know a few people that get the clear plastic display cases from Hobby Lobby and melt holes in them for ventilation. They're super cheap and come in a huge range of sizes.

They feel much more secure in smaller enclosures. Otherwise, you have to fill it with clutter and then it is harder to monitor the spider, and prey hides away from the spider with all that clutter. One should keep it simple and keep immature tarantulas in small enclosures and upgrade ut as the spider grows
